The Secret to True Happiness:Path to a Happy Life: The Power of Self-Control and Contentment

What to Do to Attain Happiness First, let's talk about who is truly happy, because in this world, no one can be completely happy. However, it is essential to understand what to do and what not to do to attain happiness. If we are ignorant about what brings true happiness,
then we may keep searching in the wrong places. Today, I am going to share some insights that might bring you peace and happiness after reading them. Treasure of Happiness Young men should worship their Guru, whereas women should worship Goddess Gauri.
They should not worship a Guru. For character and moral development, one should regularly read religious books and the biographies of great personalities.
One must make an effort to speak with God with a sincere heart in solitude and in a pure place. One day, this effort will surely lead to success. The peace that comes from conversing with God cannot be found anywhere else. Even if one acquires all intellectual and material comforts, the mind does not find peace—true peace is found only in surrendering to God.
I have seen many wealthy people who, despite having no financial difficulties, suffer greatly due to illness, addiction, family conflicts, restlessness, and incurable diseases. Even with everything, they remain poor in true happiness. Dedicate your mind, body, and soul to God. If you surrender completely with a sincere heart, all troubles will disappear without a doubt. You will experience 100% peace, happiness, and joy—this is guaranteed.

The only requirement is to surrender yourself entirely to God. Who is Truly Happy? If we want to recognize who is truly happy, we must observe those who do not dwell on the past. Happy people never get angry and always remain calm. They do not harbor jealousy, envy, or hatred toward others.
Those who spend less than they earn are also happy. People who value time, complete their tasks ahead of schedule, and do not procrastinate are also happy. Happiness is also found in those who bring joy to their neighbors, receive love from them, and earn money honestly to provide for their family and contribute to charity.
People who have qualities of forgiveness, a spirit of service, and a mindset of helping others are happy. Those who respect and serve their parents and teachers are also happy.

Look at those less fortunate than you—there are countless people in the world who face hardships far beyond your imagination. Understand this and treat others with love rather than envy. Depending on others for hope, trust, or expectations leads to disappointment.

When all these feelings are directed toward God instead, one attains peace and happiness. If you feel like you lack a good home to live in, pause for a moment and think—many people do not even have a hut to sleep in and some sleep on the streets. Whatever God has given you is already wonderful.

If you have a roof over your head, you are wealthier than many. If your body is fully functional, you are more fortunate than countless people who lack limbs or other body parts.

There are people in the world without hands or legs—just imagine the struggles they face every day. If God has given you a complete and healthy body, what is there to be sad about? Whenever you feel down, think about those who have less, not those who have more. After all, a palm tree may be tall, but it provides neither shade nor useful fruit to others.

Our Desires Are the Cause of Our Suffering A person's basic needs are usually met, but their wants never end. Desires move at an incredible speed and can lead a person to ruin. Desire is the path to destruction. If one can control their desires, no difficulty, suffering, or failure can persist. In pursuit of excessive wealth, people resort to deception, dishonesty, and manipulation.

But no one ever gets everything they want. The divine system of the universe is already in place—God controls the game, makes us play, and decides the outcome. The best approach is to surrender everything to God.

Accept whatever He gives as complete and sufficient. Let go of desires, and the game is over—you will have both victory and peace. What is Self-Control? Self-control is a simple term, but it contains immense power, happiness, and peace. If a person has self-control, desires cannot rise.

Along with self-control, peace, happiness, and good reputation naturally follow. So why let go of peace? Without self-control, there can be no balance in life. Without balance, life cannot be well-organized, and without organization, progress is impossible.

A life without progress is no different from being lifeless. Self-discipline, good deeds, and controlled speech make a person worthy of respect.
Try to cultivate these qualities—God has already written your fate at the time of your birth. Nothing can come sooner or later than what is destined.
So, what is the point of unnecessary desires? Why invite restlessness? When we desire something and do not get it, our mind becomes disturbed, we feel irritated, and we unnecessarily invite suffering into our lives. By reducing desires, life becomes peaceful and filled with happiness.
There will be no sorrow. Excessive desires are the root of our problems—control them to bring happiness to your family and yourself.

Even Alexander the Great Left the World Empty-Handed All sorrows exist only while we are alive. After death, there is no suffering. So, earn just enough to live comfortably—do not accumulate wealth for future generations at the cost of your own happiness. If these inspiring thoughts resonate with you, please share them with your loved ones and friends.

 Conclusion-

True happiness does not lie in material wealth, physical comforts, or fulfilling endless desires. It comes from self-control, gratitude, service, and devotion to God. Those who live in the present, practice forgiveness, serve others selflessly, and surrender to the divine find true peace and contentment.

Desires and comparisons with others are the root causes of suffering. By controlling our wants and embracing gratitude for what we have, we can free ourselves from unnecessary stress and unhappiness. Ultimately, everything in life is temporary—
even the greatest rulers, like Alexander the Great, left the world empty-handed.
Instead of accumulating wealth for future generations, we should focus on leading a peaceful and meaningful life, filled with love, kindness, and inner satisfaction. By surrendering to God's will and maintaining self-discipline, we can attain not just momentary happiness but a lifetime of true peace and joy.
